Q: I’ve never had professional photos taken before, what should I expect?
A: You can expect a very smooth process from start to finish. If you have specific questions or concerns, we can always discuss that when you contact me. Generally, most people have anxiety about getting their photo taken constantly in one day, and that’s ok. However, within moments of shooting, that feeling will evaporate. You will get my undivided attention, plenty of direction, and total satisfaction when we are through. The most important thing to remember is that you are dealing with a pro, and we’ve shot hundreds if not thousands of people. We will get the shot you want. You can also expect to have a lot of fun.


Q: How do I schedule a shoot?
A: The easiest way is to call, but you can also send an email through my contact form. To expedite the process please have an idea of where and when you would like to shoot. A deposit of 50% by cash, check, credit or debit card will hold your appointment time.


Q: What times are you typically open?

A: Generally we are by appointment only. We try our best to accommodate our clients schedule and shoot when an agreed upon time has been reached.


Q: What will I receive when you mail me the disc after the photo shoot?
A: You will receive your entire shoot via Dropbox plus 10 re-touched photo’s per outfit/mask (Alter Ego shoot) at no additional cost. Should you require any additional re-touching, it’s $20 per photo.


Q: Prior to our scheduled photo shoot, what should I plan on doing?
A: You should plan on deciding on what outfits you are going to be wearing for the shoot. This includes bringing the appropriate footwear, accessories, and grooming tools. Get to bed early and drink plenty of water, also avoid as much salty foods as possible. You’ll feel better, and your skin will thank you. Finally, please have your hair and make-up done the way you like it upon arrival. Make-up artists are available at an additional cost.


Q: How quickly will I receive my disc after the shoot?
A: I strive to get your disc in the mail to you within 2 weeks at the latest.


Q: What forms of payment do you accept and when do I pay you?
A: Payment must be made in full (minus your deposit) the day of the shoot. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards and debit cards.

Q: How Much are your rates?
A: It depends on the type of shoot you’ll want. If you just need photos (stills), then its $125 for an hour, which would typically be a 4000q/ft home, $50 each additional 1/2 hour (aerial photo of home is an additional $50). If you need a virtual tour and stills, it will be $175. And if you’ll need an aerial video, virtual tour and stills, that will start at $400 for an hour and a half, $50 each additional 1/2 hour. TrueVine Photography retains the copyright on all photographs. Which means we may use the photos for promotional items such as brochures, advertisement purposes, such as Facebook, website, etc…


Q: How soon will I receive my photos?
A: The photos will be ready to post w/n 48 business hours of the shoot, unless specified otherwise. We attempt to get the photos to our clients w/n 24 business hours in most cases but photos taken on a Friday will not be ready until Monday of the following week. We place all files(photos) in dropbox at the specifications for the MLS (640×480). If you require a larger file, please let your photographer know. If you require a larger file AND the MLS ready file, there will be an additional charge of $50.


Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A: We use professional Canon digital SLR bodies, Canon professional speedlights and Canon L-series lenses. These are Canon’s finest professional lenses. We have back-ups of every piece of camera equipment. We process all of my photographs on current Macintosh computers using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and other professional photography software. We invest regularly to stay current on camera equipment, computer equipment/software and education to insure you receive very high quality photographs.


Q: Is there a deposit required to book a shoot?
A: No. But I do require a check or cash payment at the time of the shoot. We can also accept credit card/debit card payments at an additional fee. Photos will only be released once payment is made.


Q: How many photographs will you take?
A: Depends on the size of the home, we average around 65 photos per shoot, providing our clients with an average 40 photos for the MLS and other sites.


Q: When do you typically meet with clients?
A: I am available by appointment during the business day. Please call or email to schedule an appointment.


Q: Do you charge for travel?
A: There is no charge for travel within the Delaware Valley (PA, NJ, De). For real estate shoots outside the Delaware Valley, we will work together to determine the appropriate fee to cover my travel expenses.


Q: How many photographers do you have?

A: It depends upon the project, generally one photographer is plenty, some projects require an assistant (to help with setting up, lighting, and/or positioning subjects in the photograph) and for other projects two photographers have been needed. Always bear in mind however that the idea is quality not quantity.


Q: How big is the team you work with?
A: This will depend upon the shoot we are being asked to carry out but generally speaking on the day it would be the photographer and one assistant.


Q: Will you hold a shoot date while we decide?
A: Yes. Complete the appropriate form and a shooting date will be held, however please note that if you cancel within two-weeks of any confirmed date, we will charge a half-day fee for each day canceled. If you cancel within one week of a scheduled day, we will charge a full-day fee for each day canceled.


Q: Are you insured?
A: Absolutely, among other key aspects we have public liability insurance for one-million dollars.


Q: Do you shoot with film or digital cameras?

Q: How much time should we allow for planning a shoot?
A: Commercial projects are like snowflakes, not one is alike and so the planning for a project should be considered the most important part of the project and we cannot tell you exactly how much time it would take to plan a shoot b/c they all (like snowflakes) are different. As the photographers for your project, we will work with you to provide you to accomplish the goals you’ve set for us and provide an estimate of how long it would take to complete the project.


Q: Do we get every single photo that you take on the day?
A: Typically yes, we do delete ineffective images on the day where we may have tested the exposure in a difficult lighting environment or when a person has clearly blinked in the shot.


Q: Do you shoot RAW or JPEG?
A: RAW


Q: Do you provide us with high resolution digital files of every photograph?
A: Yes.


Q: Do you store/archive the digital files?
A: Yes. Every digital file/photograph we ever take is archived onto external hard-drives.


Q: Do you include prints?
A: Only if requested, we generally provide the digital files via Dropbox.


Q: Are you able to tailor a shoot to suit our needs?
A: Absolutely, just let us know what you are looking for and we will put together something to suit you specific needs.


Q: When can we expect to get our photos?
A: We require 2-3 weeks or less of editing time but in cases where special requests are made turnaround times can be more. Again, depending upon your needs turnaround times will vary.


Q: How do we book?
A: Simply sign and date the contact and pay the agreed deposit.


Q: Should we provide you with a meal during a shoot?
A: It’s definitely not frowned upon but in most cases we can handle lunch on our own.


Q: Do you supply videography services?
A: No, we specialize in photography but we have a few clients we work with regularly that we can confidently recommend.
